In September every year, Crans-Montana hosts the Omega European Masters, one of the most prestigious European golf competitions after the British Open. Here, amateur golfers play on the same course as top professionals competing in this international tournament.
Inspired by the exceptional surroundings on this plateau at an altitude of 1500m, the pioneers of golf in Switzerland were not mistaken when they opened the very first course back in 1906. Crans-Montana offers a total of three courses : the 18 hole Severiano Ballesteros, a 9 hole on the course redesigned by Jack Niklaus, the 20th century player with the most major titles, and two courses open to all players, the Supercrans and the Noas Golf Course. Whatever their level, all golfers will find pleasure, challenges and satisfaction in Crans-Montana. |
